Hello!

Let me start by saying THANK YOU. Thank you for dropping by. There’s so much wonderful stuff out there, and our time is precious and limited, so I’m chuffed to bits that you’ve chosen to spend some of it here with me.

I’m not published, I’ve no creative writing qualifications, my punctuation is a bit shaky when it comes to apostrophe’s, colons', semi colons and speech marks. I’m clearly not a professional writer! This isn’t my job and I don’t want it to be.

Hitting my 50’s was initially a traumatic experience that is transforming into a blissful gift that just keeps giving! Amongst these many gifts has been the “discovery” of reading and (to my surprise) writing poetry.

I firmly believe that we’re all connected, and my bold wish is for this Substack to illuminate these connections by sharing my poetry.

I’m grateful to everyone who takes the time to read my work. Please know you’re reaffirming my deepest wish for us to build connections rather divisions.

What makes Reflections in Poetry different?

Well you’ve probably already figured the answer to this out, but for clarity let me say that the emphasis here will be sharing my poetry, which is always written from the heart.

This isn’t a business. I won’t be scheduling weekly posts or focusing my efforts on how I can hook you in and keep you engaged if I don’t think I’ve got anything meaningful to say. I won’t overwhelm your email. And (don’t tell Substack) I’m not interested in making money. No…really!

I know I’m doing it all wrong, but I don’t care. I’ll share what matters to me. This isn’t a job but a creative expression that helps me process my experiences of the world and hopefully I’ll communicate something of this to you.

I hope to build a community of connection and authenticity using poetry as a medium. If my heartfelt words resonate with you then we build heart to heart connections that, I believe, have a profoundly positive effect in the world…one poem at a time.

Go on…join me

(I’ll add a share button here I think x)
